In their Eyes: A Sweet End to the Fall Season

This fall season got wild and crazy with so many fun families and I am yet again so thankful for old and new friends sharing a piece of themselves with me. I’m so excited to send off all these final fall galleries and take a break for a bit to spend time with my own little men for the holidays, but before I do, I cannot help but share this final session.

Believe it or not, this family has NEVER taken professional family photos and they were wary to say the least. What I love so much about photography is the ability to go to the same place with different clients and the whole experience morphs with a unique personality and vibe special to them. This was one of my favorite spots of the season, but we still found new places to go and explore that I had yet to see in all my trips here. Two of my younger sons came to the park with me before this session and my 2-year-old ran through some brush to this gorgeous curvy tree in a spot my adult eyes had never thought to look. My tiny clients had thoughts of their own on what paths to wander and some artistic recommendations on shots that I was happy to oblige. I never doubt children see so much more magic than we take the time to look for. In general, I try to follow them more than they follow me and see what they see through their eyes. They were playful and silly and so relaxed and fun - the perfect high note to end the season on.

A huge thank you to this family for this lovely session that reminded me so much why I love this little gig and keep coming back for more.
