Waitin' on a Sunny Day

I loved this session so much, I needed an overshare :) This couple got engaged a few blocks away from our Bay Head, NJ location while Bruce Springsteen’s “Waitin’ on a Sunny Day” played (dad really pulled out all the stops). I love hearing these stories and thinking about how much has changed in their lives to be standing in this spot, years later, on a beautiful sunny day with their boy.

This little guy loves being thrown high in the air, jumping up and down, playing in waves, and, of course…trucks. I absolutely love sessions that don’t feel like sessions. Where there is so much play and laugher (and always maybe a few tired tears)…and we are able to get images of who your little ones really are. At play making those faces you see all the time that you want to remember later.

I love that this family brought one of his favorite toys and didn’t mind that the truck even made a cameo in their mom & dad shot. They let him get wet in the waves. Let his little diaper stick out. Let him be him.

So…I wanted to share a few of THEIR favorite images from this session because any family who chooses the accidental pants-down shot as a favorite is my kind of family.
