End of Summer: A Sea Girt, NJ Beach Session

Summer 2020 you were weird, but you were also kind of wonderful. There’s something about the beach that almost of makes you forget everything else. The enormity of it. The energy it has. Something so unscripted about beach sessions.  I love how kids just hit the sand and start running free. Collecting shells. Authentic wonder. Squeals at the waves getting everyone wet.

This family is just every photographer’s dream. They came. They played. There wasn’t a serious thing about this session. I absolutely love sessions where I feel like I’m almost in the background just catching you being you (while occasionally asking you to climb slippery rocks). And we all know I have a thing for yellow dresses so, I mean…

Sessions like this and families like this make me pinch myself extra hard that I get to spends my summer nights doing this. So, in a send-off to summer, I wanted to share some images of this very last Sea Girt beach session.
