Botanical Garden Nursery
This mama just had her 4th baby and hadn’t yet gotten around to designing her nursery. She has 2 other daughters so we chose to steer away from the obvious cheery pinks and do something a bit more organic and muted with warm, deep tones. I obsessed about this rose petal mirror that was out of stock until one glorious day it became available…and that was the starting point of this botanically-infused room.
Alexandria Alcove
This was a landing space between the stairs and a soon-to-be-playroom. It needed a purpose but also had to have a natural flow from the adjoining playroom. This design idea transformed the space into a working area for the kids. From homework to crafts (and even drawers for Legos) to a sweet reading nook…a lot of fun is packed into this space. My favorite piece is this pastel sketch art of D.C. attractions that is very fitting for this charming Alexandria, VA home.
