What we started with
This is a wonderfully large space for a children's room. An enviable walk-in closet, beautiful new drapes and a new wooden bed (that proved extremely easy to move around, thankfully!). Adding some vintage and personal sports accessories and warming up the color palette to rich tones elevated this room to big boy status.
My favorite details
This vintage emerald green leather gaming chair! I was legit debating stealing this for our house if this client didn't go for the splurge. I'm convinced this piece makes the room and will be such a fun piece to keep as this room evolves.

Behind the scenes
Back to that leather gaming chair...it STUNK like an airplane ashtray from the 80's. We definitely could tell it was authentically used for game nights in smoky rooms filled with cigars. Fear not. Apparently, Google has 20 very unique solutions for getting the smell of smoke out of fabric (one involving stockings and coffee beans) but what is not effective is leaving it outside for a week to air out.
